5/1 Italian Cheese Bread

Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 Tablespoon quick-rise yeast
1 cup warm water
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil

Topping

¼ to 1/3 cup prepared Italian salad dressing
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon thyme
A dash of pepper
1 Tablespoon grated Parmesan Cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast.
Mix together the water and oil into the flour mixture.
Mix until a soft dough forms-you may need to add more flour.
Knead for 1-2 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Let rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Punch the dough down and place on a greased 12-inch pizza pan.
Pat down into a 12-inch circle.
Brush with salad dressing.
Combine the salt, garlic powder, oregano, thyme and pepper. Sprinkle evenly over the dressing.
Combine the cheeses. Sprinkle evenly over the seasonings.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
